the podcast

Bringing together Science and Society.

Bringing you science in a fun and approachable manner.

At its core, PB With J's is two college guys having fun while trying to accomplish a rather lofty mission: bridge the gap between science and society.

Perhaps better said, we hope to continue to contribute to a movement that was started by Carl Sagan and has since been pioneered by the likes of Neil deGrasse Tyson, Oliver Sacks, Lisa Sanders, and of course, Robert Sapolsky (he's pretty much our favorite - the more you get to know us the more you'll see his name pop up).

Specifically, we'll bring you weekly, entertaining, fifteen minute podcasts exploring the remarkable and mysterious world of the brain through the lens of various diseases, syndromes, and pathologies.

So come along for the ride - it's a pretty wonderful world we're off to explore.

I love science, and it pains me to think that so many are terrified of the subject or feel that choosing science means you cannot also choose compassion, or the arts, or be awed by nature. Science is not meant to cure us of mystery, but to reinvent and reinvigorate it
— Robert Sapolsky

PB With J's runs fully on listener support. If you like the show and like the mission, we greatly appreciate any and all amounts of financial support. We couldn't do what we do without you.
